Classes of Membership
A person who has completed 21 years of age can apply for the life membership on a prescribed application form. The applicant will be interviewed by the Executive Council and if found suitable for the admission will be admitted as a life member. A life member has to pay the entry fee, general subscription, cover charges and departmental subscription charges. A life member can use all the facilities during the allotted time. Life members spouse and children will be called as dependent members. They can also use the facilities along with the member. The life member son or daughter can avail the facilities as a dependent member till they attains the age of 21 years, After the demise of the life member, the membership will be transferred to the surviving spouse
A Life Member who himself has put in a minimum 10 years continuous membership can nominate 1 child (son or daughter) to this category. Dependent life members spouse and children can also use the club facilities. Dependent life membership is not transferable at any time and ceases with the demise of the member.
Such Dependent Member shall pay an admission fee and will be admitted after being interviewed by the Executive Council.
The Life Member, after a continuous 15 years as a Member, shall have the option to propose one more of his Children, registered as a dependent member at the time of admission, aged above 21 years, to join as Dependent Life Member. Such Dependent Member shall pay an admission fee and will be admitted after being interviewed by the Executive Council.
This class of Membership is restricted to only two Dependent children of the Life or Permanent Member of the KBA.
Members under this category shall enjoy all the facilities of the KBA Club House, by subscribing to the prescribed fee as applicable to a Life Member, except the right to Vote and take part in General Meetings.
Persons who are residing in the City of Bangalore and who are in continuous services of Consular Corps, United Nations, State or Central Government of Class I status or category or grade as the case may be or High Court Judges,shall, on approval by the Executive Council, be entitled to become a Civil Service Member. This class of Membership shall be available to any such member for a period of 3 years.
A Civil Service Member has to pay the entry fee, general subscription, cover charges, departmental subscription charges and can use all the facilities during the membership period. The Civil Service Members spouse and children will be called as dependent members. They can also use the facilities along with the member. The Members son's can avail the facilities as a dependent member till he attains the age of 21 years, The membership automatically ceases after the expiry of the 3 years term.
However, the membership may be renewed for a further term of 3 years, on a written application by such member before the expiry of the first term at the sole discretion of the Executive Council.
Executives, Officers in transferable employment / services, residing in Bangalore District shall, on approval by the Executive Council, be entitled to become a Long Term Temporary Member. This membership term is for a period of 5 years.
A Long Term Temporary Member has to pay the entry fee, general subscription, cover charges, departmental subscription charges and can use all the facilities during the membership period. The Long Term Temporary Members spouse and children will be called as dependent members. They can also use the facilities along with the member. The Members son's can avail the facilities as a dependent member till he attains the age of The membership automatically ceases after the expiry of the 5 years term.
The players who have represented State in the Senior category and played Senior Nationals, Inter State Zonal, National Games are eligible to seek the Sports Membership. The entry fee varies based on the number of years they have represented the state. Sports Members spouse and children can also avail the club facilities till they attains the age of 21 years. This category membership ceases with the demise of the Sports Member.
